Educational sessions for people with a disability and their families/support workers.

Human relations educators regularly provide information and training sessions for people with a disability in the area of human relations and sexuality. These education sessions are tailored to meet individual or group requirements and are provided to people of all ages on a fee for service basis. Information and educational sessions on human relations and sexuality are also conducted for both government and non-government disability support workers, family members, carers and other professionals working in the disability field.

Staff at CDDHV have offered training to direct support workers around the health care issues of people with developmental disabilities and the effects of ageing in this population. Staff are involved on an ongoing basis in providing training in the Certificate 6 course offered at RMIT University for disability workers.
